After the announcement by the federal government that Canada will be receiving even more doses than originally planned in May, the provincial government announced some great news. Every Quebecer 18 years old and older will be eligible to receive a vaccine on May 14. The details of the mass vaccination campaign can be found here. The calendar for when each age group will be able to make their appointment is below.
Since the very beginning, the federal government has been working extremely hard to procure vaccines quickly for all Canadians. We are now 3rd in the G20 for doses administered per capita. The mass vaccination campaign has been one of the most complex logistical operations in the history of our country, and thanks to the leadership shown by our government, things are looking great. I encourage everyone to get their vaccine as soon as possible. It is safe, effective and our only hope of beating this virus.
Despite this great news, we must continue to follow all public health guidelines. Until a sufficient majority of the population is vaccinated, we will continue to wear masks and socially distance. Adherence to the rules are crucial to ensure a smooth vaccination campaign and the quickest reopening possible.
Every five years, Canadians are invited to participate in the census to help paint a portrait of Canada's diverse population and the places where we live.
The Census of Population provides high-quality information on key socioeconomic trends and analysis that helps Canadians make important decisions that affect our families, our neighbourhoods and our businesses.
Starting today, you can complete your census questionnaire online. It is an easy, secure and convenient option that can be used anywhere, anytime. No pre-registration or lengthy download processes are required.
