This week in the Finance Committee, I had the chance to question the Finance Minister about Bill C-14, which will implement certain aspects of our Fall Economic Statement . I asked the Minister about funding for affordable housing, and shelters for women facing conjugal violence, and on our Action Plan for Women in the Economy.
In Question Period, I asked the Minister of Public Services and Procurement about our government's vaccine procurement plan. You can watch my question and her answer here .

Last week, we commemorated the one-year anniversary of the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been an incredibly challenging year for all of us - especially those who have lost loved ones. We have spent the past year deprived of our friends and family to keep each other safe, and while it is not over yet, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.
Vaccines are on their way, and access to them is being expanded regularly as we get more shots in Canadians' arms. The vaccines are the most effective way to fight this virus and get back to a sense of normalcy, so when your time comes, please get the vaccine. It is quick, safe, and effective, and will save countless lives.
So far, the government has distributed 3.9 million doses of vaccines to the provinces and territories. 2.9 million have been administered nationally, and Quebec has administered almost 650,000 doses. For more information on the status of the vaccination campaign in Canada, please click here.
